MORE THAN JUST A PHOTO… A STORY.
Born in October 1968 in the South West of France, Stephane’s first photographic experience came at the age of 11, when his father lent him his Reflex for a three week holiday. When back in High School, the photo club offered him his first lessons to learn the basis of photography and start experimenting.
With an early passion and self taught, life brought him to different places in France where he covered social events for the local press, giving him the opportunity to gratify his passion as well as sharpening his eye.
Previously based in Paris, Stephane has documented an extensive list of major social events throughout Europe, from controversial protests to riots and worked for the French Department of Tourism.
He now lives in London and has widened his abilities by working in his own photo studio, collaborating with some of the city’s finest underground performance artists/designers.
He also developed new skills, such as interior design. His work can be seen In Cyberdog Camden stores and INC SPACE. Other works include photos for websites (commercial and private properties). Some of his photos will be published later this year in ‘500 unusual places to stay – Europe’, edited by Wonderlemon.
His appetite since a child for geometry, volumes and perspective has of course influenced his approach on architectural subjects, one of his favorites.
Passionate about history, a curious observer of what happens around him, inspired by evolution, human creations, the effects of time, urban life, combined with keen attention to detail in his photographic work, bring more than a photo, but a story.
